Threading
CAUTION!
❐ Make sure when you choose the thread that it is suitable for sewing machines. A thread which
is not suitable may, for example, quickly rip during sewing.
If the sewing machine has already been supplied with inlaid thread, check the thread
guidance carefully before you change the thread.
1. If you want to use a bobbin, use the short bobbin holder (8). For a conventional thread spool,
use the thread spool holder (9).

2. Pull the bobbin holder out of the device if necessary and re-
move the spring. Place a bobbin or spool of thread onto the
holder in such a way that it rotates anticlockwise when you pull
the thread. Then place the spring onto the holder and push it
(together with the spring) fi rmly into the associated opening in
the device.
3. Turn the handwheel (7) until the arm (2) and the needle (14)
are at the top.
4. Push the end of the thread through thread guide 1 (3) (from the
bottom upwards).
5. Place the thread from above between the two discs of the
thread tension regulator (1).
6. Guide the thread through thread guide 2 (13).
7. Place the end of the thread from the back forwards (towards
the end of the device) through the eye of the needle. If neces-
sary, use the threader to help you:
– Guide the wire loop of the threader from the front back-
wards through the eye of the needle.
– Push the thread through the wire loop.
– Pull the wire loop with the thread out through the eye of
the needle.
– The thread is now threaded. Remove it from the wire loop.
