10. Operation
Do not operate the device until you are familiar with its functions and this user manual. Check
to make sure all connections are correct. Do not operate the device if it is damaged.
Always turn on your system's amplifier first and last. This prevents noise interference that may
occur when turning off the player, for instance, from damaging the amplifier or the speakers.
a) Turning on the player
• Turn down the volume of the connected amplifier to the minimum
• Use the POWER switch (22) to turn on the player.
• Then turn on your mixer should you use one and finally your system's amplifier.
b) Connecting a USB storage device
• Connect your USB storage device to the USB port (20).
• The device will load the storage contents of your USB device.
• The device then automatically sets the CUE point at the beginning of the first track and switches to
PAUSE mode.
c) Playback/pause
• Press the PLAY/PAUSE 6/3 button (2) to start playback.
• The time display on the display starts. The point at which playback starts is automatically saved as CUE
point.
You can interrupt playback in one of two ways:
• Push the PLAY/PAUSE 6/3 button (2). The device switches to PAUSE mode at the current playback
point.
• Push the CUE button (1) during playback. The device returns to the CUE point and switches to PAUSE
