Dear customer, the following safety instructions and hazard warnings serve not only to protect
the device but your health as well. Please read the following points thoroughly:
• For safety reasons, it is not permitted to alter and/or modify the product.
• The device was constructed according to protection class II. A properly installed main socket
(100-240 V/50/60 Hz) only may be used as a power source.
• Follow the user manual to ensure that you operate the device correctly.
• Make sure that the mains cable is not pinched, bent, damaged by sharp edges or subjected
to other mechanical stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme
heat or cold. Do not modify the mains cable. Otherwise the mains cable may be damaged. A
damaged mains cable can cause a deadly electric shock.
• Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged. First switch off the power to the mains socket
(e.g. via the residual current device and circuit breaker) and then carefully disconnect the
mains plug from the mains socket. Bring the device to a specialist workshop for maintenance.
Never use the product if the mains cable is damaged.
• Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket to cut power to the device completely. Turning
the device off using the on/off switch does not suffice.
• The product is not a toy, it is not suitable for use by children. Children cannot recognize the
dangers that may arise when handling electrical devices.
• Do not pour any liquids on electronic devices and do not place any objects filled with liquids
(e.g. vases) on the device. This poses a great fire hazard and risk of electric shock. In such a
case, first switch off the power to the mains socket (e.g. via the re-sidual current device and
circuit breaker) and then disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket. Disconnect all ca-
bles from the device. Do not operate the product anymore afterwards, but take it to a specialist
workshop.
• Never touch the mains plug with wet or moist hands. There is a risk of lethal electric shock!
• Make sure the device is sufficiently ventilated during operation. Do not cover the housing.
• Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, dripping or splashing water, strong vibra-
tions or extreme mechanical stress.
