Check for gas
leaks:
•
Test the gas hose and connections for leaks each time you
connect a gas cylinder
•
Make sure that the control knob on the Clifton is in the "Off"
position and slowly open the gas valve on the gas cylinder.
•
Use soapy water, a mixture of half detergent and half water, to
detect possible leaks. Never use a lighter or the like in order to
detect gas leaks.
•
If you detect a leak on one of the connections, turn the gas valve
on the gas cylinder off and tighten the corresponding connector.
Check again for leaks when reopening the valve.
•
If you detect a leak on the gas hose, replace the hose
immediately. Never use your Clifton with a leaking hose.
If you smell gas:
• Immediately close all controls/valves on the Clifton and gas
cylinder.
•
Do not switch on electrical appliances and do not use a phone.
•
Try to solve the problem, see above "check for gas leaks". If this
fails contact a licensed gas fitter.
• An amply ventilated area must have a minimum of 25% of the
surface area open
• The surface area is the sum of the walls surface
• Do not connect the gas cylinder directly to the appliance without
regulator
