Battery charging status indication
Please note that the battery charging status detection can only be activated when the radio is in charging mode (i.e. the
radio is switched off, the battery switch in the NiHM position and it is connected to the AC mains socket).
1. Make sure the radio is switched off and connected to the AC mains socket when charging the batteries.
2. Press and hold the Info/Menu button to enter the menu setting.
3. Rotate the Tuning control knob until "BATTERY" shows on the display.
Press the Tuning control knob to see the battery charging status. Rotate the Tuning control knob to view the individual
battery status if required.
When charging is in progress, the battery charging indicator flashes
green.
Note: If the AC power cord is disconnected or the NiMH/Alkaline switch
is slided to Alkaline position when charging the batteries, the display will
show scrolling message "CHARGE INTERRUPTED" (see the picture at
right).
When the charging process is completed, display is shown at right and
the charging indicator lights in steady green.
Note: If you intent to charge the battery but the charging indicator does
not flash, it indicates the batteries are already fully charged.
