9.1.5 Failure
If 1 or more fans are not working, please check the following:

•
•
•
Depending on the results of the above-mentioned checks, the adapter, clickson and/or fan(s) must be replaced.
For replacing the fan(s) and the clickson you are referred to section 9.1.4 'Replacing the fan(s) and/or clickson'.
Replacement parts are available through your supplier.
9.2 Outside air connection, convection connection, connection of the flue and air slide
valve
9.2.1 Outside air connection
It is possible to provide the fire with an outside air connection. This outside air connection is optionally available
as an (external air) kit. This kit can be used for a connection either on the bottom or rear of the appliance and is
available through your supplier. First determine if you want a connection on the bottom or rear side.
Proceed as follows with a connection on the bottom (see Appendix 2, Fig. 7a + 7b):
Ø
Fasten the 'pipe opening' with 4 screws to the small housing.
Ø
Remove the 4 screws on the bottom side of the appliance.
Ø
Then bring the small housing with assembled 'pipe opening' against the plate on the bottom of the appliance.
Ø
Re-use the 4 screws to assemble the small housing.
Ø
Connect the flexible hose (Ø 80 mm) to the round 'pipe opening' of the outside air connection.
Ø
Dispose of unused parts in the appropriate way.
Proceed as follows with a connection on the rear (see Appendix 2, Fig. 7c + 7d):
Ø
Use a hammer to break the rectangular plate out of the rear of the appliance.
Ø
Also break out the side baffle in the middle of the external air kit.
Ø
Fasten the 'pipe opening' with 4 screws to the small housing.
Ø
Assemble the large housing on the small housing using 2 screws and set this to the correct length for the relative
appliance.
Ø
Remove the 6 screws on the bottom side of the appliance.
Ø
Then bring the outside air connection against the plate on the bottom of the appliance.
Ø
Re-use the 6 screws to assemble the external air kit.
Ø
Connect the flexible hose (Ø 80 mm) to the round 'pipe opening' of the outside air connection.
9.2.2 Convection air connection
This appliance is provided with removable convection plates that have to be broken out when creating chimney
breast ventilation. The openings that are created in this way can be used to make a connection for convection air.
Here, hot convection air (outflow) is taken to a ventilation opening in the chimney breast. No extra provisions are
required for the inflow of cold convection air. The accessories needed for the outflow are available through your
supplier.
When creating a convection air connection, you can place the supplied cover plates at the front of the appliance
(see appendix 2, fig. 8). These will make sure that the full air flow (100%) is guided via the convection openings.
If the cover plates are not placed, 20% of the total air flow will go via the convection openings.
The remaining 80% will flow out via the front of the appliance.
Only use the cover plates when the plates for the convection openings have been broken out.
!Caution
Various options are available for creating a convection air connection. Select the situation that applies to you and
proceed as follows:
38
Only replace the fan and/or clickson with originals, which are available from your supplier.
Make sure the fans are mounted in the same way. This will prevent unwanted vibrations, which could result
in noise nuisance.
is the adapter connected properly;
is there sufficient voltage on the wall socket
check the outgoing voltage of the adapter (6 - 12V direct voltage);
bypass the clickson (temperature switch) and check the operation of the fans (switch in position I);
check the voltage on the fan(s).
Consult the electrical diagram (see appendix 2, fig. 4).
