10. STARTING A MEASUREMENT
Point the light sensor directly at the light source. Ensure that there are no objects or
persons between the light source and the light sensor.
In order not to influence the measurement results yourself, keep the datalogger with one
arm as far as possible in front of your body or attach the meter to the bracket that was
part of the scope of supply or on a tripod (tripod not included). Move approx. 2 m away
from the measuring point. Avoid vibrations or movements.
1. Install the software and set up the data logger.
2. Click the menu item "Device", then "Settings" (software manual chapter from 6.8) and use
the item "Logger mode" to set how you want to start the measurement. Select "After setup"
to start the measurement automatically after you have completed the setup. Or choose
"By button". Keep the data logger button pushed for two seconds to start measuring.
3. After you have reached the pre-set recording rate, the recording is competed automati-
cally.
4. When the storage of the data logger is full, measuring is automatically discontinued.
5. The recording can also be terminated at any time by early reading at the computer.
6. Start the Voltsoft software and connect the data logger to the computer. Follow the instruc-
tions of the software manual (see chapter 6.8.3).
7. Disconnect the data logger from the USB port after reading.
If the data logger remains at the USB port of the computer for an extended period, the
battery may discharge prematurely.
Therefore, we recommend that the battery be removed from the device at extended non-
use.
