Installation and connection of the control unit
Only install the SWA 50II in dry areas, as follows:
1.
Remove the front panel.
2.
Remove the grey setting pin from the central housing
borehole. The fastening screw for the SWA 50ll is lo-
cated beneath the setting pin.
3.
Loosen the fastening screw and remove the control unit
from the retaining clamp (Fig. 1).
4.
Remove the connection terminals from the back of the
control and connect these according to the wiring dia-
gram 1 on page 11. If several motors are used, connect
these in accordance with wiring diagram 2 on page 11.
5.
Screw the fastening claws into the flush-mounted switch
box (Fig. 2). We recommend the use of switch terminal
boxes Ø 58mm. In the case of surface-mounted installa-
tion, please use the surface frame (Item no. 4020 000
013 0).
6.
Set the required operating mode for the awning control
with the help of the function switches on the back of the
unit (see "Function switches" on page 8).
7.
When connecting drives which are not operated with
230 V/AC (e.g. 24 V/DC drives), remove the L - C jumper
and connect the voltage feed to terminal C.
Note
If the unit is operated without a wind sensor
the "2" and "+" terminals must have a connec-
tion resistance of 2.2 kΩ Ω Ω Ω Ω (included in the scope
of supply).
8.
Attach the connection terminals to the control unit (Fig.
3).
9.
Attach the control to the fastening claw screwed onto the
flush-mounted socket and mount this using the central
fastening screw.
10. Set the WIND and SUN potentiometers with the help of
the grey setting pin (see "Functional Description" on
page 7).
11. After completing the settings, replace the setting pin in
the central housing borehole. Then lock the front panel
on again.
