Operating Instructions SWA 50II
Wind speed setting control
This enables you to set the actuation threshold for the
wind load stressing of the awning.
The average setting value is between 5 and 12 m/sec.,
depending on the installation location and type of
awning.
The typical setting value is 8m/sec. Please see the
wind force conversion table.
The setting range is 0-20 m/sec., 1 unit corresponds to
approx. 2m/sec.
Note
Please ask your awning supplier for the
maximum wind load stressing for your
awning.
Wind display (WIND LED - red)
If the measured wind speed exceeds the wind force set with the setting control, the wind display illuminates. If the
wind display illuminates continuously for 3 seconds, the awning is moved upwards. Pilot lights 6 and 7 flash.
The awning remains in this position until the wind speed remains under the set actuation threshold continuously for
15 minutes. The running time of 5 minutes then begins. Pilot light 7 continues to flash. During this time, a DOWN
command can be given manually by prolonged pressing of the DOWN button (only possible if manual mode is
switched on).
Light intensity setting control
This enables individual setting of the light intensity actuation threshold. Generally, depending on the situation and
system, the value lies between 20 and 40 kLux. The setting range is from 0 to 60 kLux, 1 unit corresponds to approx.
6 kLux.
Sun display (SUN LED - yellow)
If the sun intensity measured externally exceeds the lux value set on the "light intensity" setting control, the sun
display will illuminate. If the set light intensity is exceeded for at least 90 seconds, the awning is extended.
The motor is switched off after the running time (approx. 5 minutes for awning operating mode, approx. 2 minutes
for blind operating mode). In the case of blind operating mode, the set reversal then takes place.
If the measured light intensity falls below the set value, the awning is retracted after expiry of the delay time (15
minutes) and the motor is switched off after expiry of the running time.
MANUAL/AUTOMATIC changeover button and pilot light (MANUAL LED - yellow)
Press the MANUAL/AUTOMATIC changeover button. If the MANUAL function is switched on, the "MANUAL LED"
pilot light illuminates - the automatic sun function is switched off. The wind monitoring is retained for protection.
In order to switch over to the "Automatic" function, the MANUAL/AUTOMATIC changeover button must be pressed
("MANUAL LED" goes out).
Manual operation of the SWA 50II is only possible in manual mode.
