Main switch/cooktop
lock
Warnings
Inner flame at minimum output.
The cooktop may have a main switch that cuts off the
main gas supply and turns off all the burners at the same
time. This switch is very practical if there are children in
the house or if for any reason all the burners must be
turned off quickly.
To lock the cooktop:
Press the main switch.
This turns off any burners that are on. The cooktop is
locked.
To unlock the cooktop:
1. Turn all the control knobs to the "off" position.
2. Press the main switch and turn it all the way clockwise.
The main gas supply is turned on.
You can now use your cooktop normally.
It is normal to hear a soft whistling noise while the burner
is operating.
When it is first used, it is normal for the burner to give off
a smell; this does not pose any risk and does not indicate
a malfunction. The smell will gradually go away.
A few seconds after the burner is turned off, a sound
(thud) will be produced. This is not a malfunction. It
means that the safety system has been deactivated.
Keep the burner as clean as possible. If the ignition
sparkers are dirty, they will not light properly. Clean them
periodically using a small non-wire brush. Make sure the
ignition sparkers do not suffer any serious impact.
An orange-colored flame is normal. This is caused by the
presence of dust in the atmosphere, spilled liquids, etc.
The kitchen will become hot and humid when this gas
appliance is used.
