• Do not breathe in the exhaust air. Avoid getting the
exhaust air in your eyes.
• The exhaust air from the device may contain water,
oil, metal particles or impurities from the compres-
sor. This can cause damage to health.
Hazards due to noise
• Exposure to high levels of noise without protection
can cause permanent disabilities, hearing loss and
other problems such as tinnitus (ringing, buzzing,
whistling or humming in the ears).
• Use hearing protection equipment as required by
occupational health and safety regulations.
• The device shall be operated and maintained as
recommended in these instructions to prevent an
unnecessary increase in noise level.
Hazards due to vibrations
• Exposure to vibrations can cause nerve paralysis
and interruption of blood supply to hands and arms.
• Wear warm clothes when working in cold conditions
and keep your hands warm and dry.
• If you experience numbness, tingling, pain or whit-
ening of the skin on your fingers or hands, you
should seek medical advice from a qualified occu-
pational physician regarding general activities.
• Use and maintain the device as recommended in
this manual to prevent an unnecessary increase in
vibration level.
• Hold the device with a light but secure grip, as the
risk from vibrations is generally greater when the
gripping force is higher.
Additional safety instructions for compressed
air-operated devices:
• Compressed air can cause serious injuries.
• Always close the air supply and disconnect the de-
vice from the air supply when it is not in use.
• Always disconnect the device from the compressed
air supply before switching accessories, making ad-
justments and/or repairs and when moving from one
work area to another.
• Keep fingers away from the trigger when the device
is not in use and when moving from one operating
position to another.
• Never direct compressed air at yourself or anyone
else.
• Flared hose lines can cause serious injuries. Al-
ways check for damaged or loose hoses or con-
nections.
• Never carry a compressed air-operated device by
its hose.
• Never pull a compressed air-operated device by
its hose.
• Do not exceed the maximum operating pressure
when using compressed air-operated devices.
• Compressed air powered equipment should only be
operated by compressed air at the lowest possible
pressure for the working process in order to reduce
noise and vibration and to minimise wear and tear.
• The use of oxygen or flammable gases for operation
of compressed air-operated devices creates a fire
and explosion hazard.
• Take care when using compressed air-operated de-
vices as the device may become cold, affecting grip
and control.
Supplementary safety instructions for air nail
guns
• Danger of injury! Never exceed the maximum per-
missible operating working pressure of 8 bar. Use
a pressure reducer to adjust the working pressure.
• Keep your work area clean and well-lit. Disorgan-
ised and unlit work areas can result in accidents.
• Keep children and other people away while using
the driving-in device. Distractions may cause you
to lose control of the device.
• Always remain attentive, pay attention to what you
are doing and be sensible when working with a driv-
ing-in device.
• Do not use a driving-in device while you are tired
or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medi-
cation. A moment of carelessness when using the
driving-in device can result in serious injuries.
• Disconnect the device from the compressed air
source before repair and maintenance work as well
as before transport.
Additional notes for compressed air-operated
driving-in devices
• Danger of injury! Do not operate the device if the
release fuse is defective or has been removed. Oth-
erwise, injuries may result.
• When disconnecting the hose coupling, hold the
hose firmly in your hand to avoid injuries caused
by a hose recoiling.
• Be sure to use a ¼" threaded nipple and a quick
coupling for the compressed air supply. Otherwise,
the staples/nails are shot out very slowly or with
little pressure.
