5.Once the blade has penetrated right through the workpiece, bring the product into its normal
working position.

6.Continue to saw along the cutting line.
Switching off

Release the on/off switch.
Removal
CAUTION

Removing the dust removal adapter
1.Press the two retaining catches inwards.
2.Pull the dust removal adapter to the rear to remove it from the base plate.
3.Disconnect the vacuum cleaner hose from the dust removal adapter.
Removing the guard

Tilt the guard slightly and pull it off toward the front.
Ejecting the saw blade
WARNING
Risk of injury. Uncontrolled ejection of the saw blade can lead to injury.

When ejecting the saw blade, hold the product in such a way that it presents no risk of injury to
persons or animals.
1.Disconnect the supply cord plug from the power outlet.
2.Push the saw blade ejection lever to the side as far as it will go.

The saw blade will be released and ejected.
Care and maintenance
WARNING
Electric shock hazard! Attempting care and maintenance with the supply cord connected to a
power outlet can lead to severe injury and burns.

Always unplug the supply cord before carrying out care and maintenance tasks.
Care
• Carefully remove stubborn dirt from the tool.
• Clean the air vents carefully with a dry brush.
• Use only a slightly damp cloth to clean the casing. Do not use cleaning agents containing silicone
as they can attack the plastic parts.

Repairs to the electrical section of the tool or appliance may be carried out only by trained electrical
specialists.
• Check all visible parts and controls for signs of damage at regular intervals and make sure that
they all function correctly.
• Do not operate the product if signs of damage are found or if parts malfunction. Have it repaired
immediately by Hilti Service.
