• Observe all safety instructions! If you do not
observe the safety instructions you will endanger
yourself and others. Serious injuries may be the
result.
• Young people under 18 years of age and
users who are not sufficiently acquainted
with its operation must not use the product.
• Keep all instructions for use and safety inst-
ructions for the future.
• Keep the product away from children!
• When the product has been turned off, always
secure it to prevent accidental switch on.
• All parts of the product, especially safety
equipment, must be correctly installed to
ensure faultless operation.
• Conversions, independent modifications and
the use of non-approved parts are prohibited.
Operation/workplace
• The product may be used only when in a fault-
less condition. If the product or part of the pro-
duct is defective, have it repaired by a qualified
person.
• Always heed the applicable national and
international safety, health and labour regula-
tions.
• The product may only be put into operation if
no faults are found during the check-up. It is
crucial that any defective parts are replaced
before the product is used again.
• When working with the product, keep the
work area clean and tidy.
• When working with the product, make sure
there is adequate lighting.
• Always use the essential personal safety
equipment (Personal protective equipment –
Page 31).
• Do not overload the product. Use the product
only for the purposes for which it is intended.
• Work with caution and only if you are physi-
cally fit: Working under the effects of fatigue, ill-
ness, alcohol, medication and drugs is irrespon-
sible, as you are unable to use the product
safely.
• Be careful of the dust you have raised and fly-
ing objects. The rebound effect on walls or buil-
ding walls is especially dangerous.
• Do not aim the product at people or animals
when vacuuming or blowing.
Maintenance
• The product must always be switched off
before performing any maintenance work.
• Only the maintenance work and trouble shoo-
ting activities described here may be carried
out. All other work must be done by an expert.
• Check all screw connections regularly to
ensure a tight fit.
• Use only genuine spare parts. Only these
spare parts are designed and suitable for the
product. The use of other spare parts will not
only invalidate the warranty, but also presents a
danger for yourself and your environment.
• Always store the product in a dry place.
• Protect the product from damage during
transport.
Raynaud's syndrome (White-finger syndrome)
The frequent use of vibrating devices can
damage the nerves of persons whose blood flow
is impaired (e. g. smokers, diabetics). Fingers,
hands, wrists and/or arms show in particular show
some or all of the following symptoms: Pain, prick-
ling, piercing pains, deadening of limbs, pale skin.
• If you notice unusual impairments, stop working
immediately and consult a physician.
You can substantially reduce the risks if you adhere
to the following instructions:
• Keep your body and particularly your hands
warm in cold weather. Working with cold hands
is the main cause!
• Take regular breaks and move your hands. This
encourages circulation.
Personal protective equipment
When working with the product, wear
eye and ear protection.
Wear sturdy shoes when working with
the product.
Wear protective gloves when working
with the product.
Wear tight-fitting clothing when wor-
king with the product.
Product-specific information
• When working with the product, always make
sure that you are standing firmly and have a
natural posture.
• Never vacuum without the vacuum tube.
• Never reach into the rotor when the product
is running.
• Always hold the product firmly in both hands.
• Before starting work, check the working area
for animals and objects. Remove all objects
that could be flung or get jammed in the motor.
