PIPE CONNECTIONS
GENERAL
Pipe installation must be carried out in accordance with
current norms and directives.
NOTE!
Ensure that incoming water is clean. When using
a private well, it may be necessary to supplement
with an extra water filter.
CAUTION!
The pipe systems have to be flushed clean before
the product is connected, to prevent any contam-
inants from damaging the components.
CAUTION!
Water may drip from the safety valve's overflow
pipe. The overflow pipe must be routed to a suit-
able drain, to prevent hot water splashes from
causing harm. The overflow pipe must be inclined
along its entire length to prevent pockets where
water can accumulate, and must be frost-proof.
The overflow pipe must be at least the same size
as the safety valve. The overflow pipe must be
visible and its mouth must be open and not placed
close to electrical components.
Fit the enclosed cover discs before pipe installation. The
cover discs, with self-adhesive backs, must be installed on
the relevant connection, by pushing them over the connec-
tions.
All connections (including connections that are not used)
must be insulated to minimise energy losses.
The water heater must be fitted with the necessary valves,
such as safety valves, shut-off valves, non-return valves
and vacuum valves (vacuum valves only apply to copper).
The water heater must be provided with a mixing valve,
which limits the temperature of outgoing hot water to 60 °C.
If this valve is not fitted, some other measure must be taken
to prevent the risk of scalding.
The water heater for VPA 200/70 is equipped with a docking
connection to heat pump (max 12 kW) or other external heat
source. VPA 300/200 and VPA 450/300 are equipped with
two outgoing docking connections.
VPA 300/200 can be fitted on the G1½" connection and
VPA 450/300 can be fitted on the G2" connection (use an
adapter to the required size).

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
CAUTION!
Electrical installation and service must be carried
out under the supervision of a qualified electrician,
and in accordance with applicable electrical safety
regulations.
VPA 200/70 can be supplemented with an immersion heater
with a maximum output of 9 kW. Connection dimension is
G50. During installation, ensure that there is enough room
in the connection area to remove the immersion heater, see
table on page 21.
VPA 300/200 / VPA 450/300 can be supplemented with
one or two immersion heaters, maximum output 2x9 kW.
Each immersion heater can be supplemented with junction
box type K11 (2-pole thermostat, 3-pole temperature limiter).
Do not modify or reconnect!
A separate supply from group central is routed to each im-
mersion heater.
