GENERAL
NIBE VPA is a series of water heaters intended for connec-
tion to heat pumps.
The water heater is designed and manufactured for a max-
imum cut-off pressure of 10 bar. Maximum permitted tem-
perature is 90 °C.
The insulation is Neopor and polyester fleece. The insulation
and outer cladding can be removed easily.
The water heaters consist of a hot water tank and an enclos-
ing, double walled, steel sheet jacket.
Water tank on the VPA 200/70 is lined with copper corrosion
protection, while the models VPAS 300/450 and
VPA 300/200 and VPA 450/300 are lined with copper or
enamel corrosion protection.
The water heater is designed and manufactured for a max-
imum cut-off pressure of 10 bar. Maximum permitted tem-
perature is 90 °C.
Maximum working pressure in the double jacket for
VPA 200/70 and VPA 300/200 is 3 bar. For VPA 450/300,
the maximum working pressure in the double jacket is 2.5
bar for copper and 3 bar for enamel.
Maximum working pressure in the double jacket is 2.5 bar.
VPAS 300/450 is equipped with a copper finned tube of 2.3
m², for connection of up to 15 m² of solar panels.
VPAS 300/450 is equipped with two immersion heater
sockets and submerged tube for control of hot water heat-
ing, radiator operation and solar coil.
VPA 200/70 is equipped with one immersion heater socket,
while VPA 300/200 and VPA 450/300 have two immersion
heater sockets. All models have a submerged tube for control
of the hot water heater.
The insulation is Neopor and polyester fleece. The insulation
and outer cladding can be removed easily.
NIBE VPAcan be connected in series.

DELIVERY AND HANDLING
TRANSPORT
NIBE VPA should be transported and stored vertically in a
dry place.
However, the NIBE VPA can be carefully laid on its back
when being moved into the building.
ASSEMBLY
Position NIBE VPA on a solid foundation indoors that with-
stands water and the weight of the product.
Use the product's adjustable feet to attain a horizontal and
stable set-up.

Since water comes from NIBE VPA, the area where NIBE VPA
is located must be equipped with floor drainage.
The product must be installed vertically.
The product is unscrewed from the pallet and lifted into
position, using the lifting eye at the top.
The top insulation has to be removed, to access the lifting
eyes on VPA 450/300 Enamel. When erecting an enamelled
water heater, ensure that there is space above the heater
for future sacrificial anode replacement.

REMOVING THE INSULATION
The diameter without insulation for VPA 200/70 is Ø544
mm, for VPA 300/200 is Ø668 mm and for VPA 450/300 is
Ø766 mm.

Lift off the plastic top and the top insulation.
•
On VPA 300/200-E, the lifting eye on the top must be
unscrewed first.
•
Remove the joining plates holding the insulated jacket
halves together, then unhook and remove the insulated
jacket halves.
