Transmission indicator
The transmission indicator lights up briefly when a radio signal is transmitted to the
Lisa-Signolux receiver devices.
Function buttons
The transmission and the triggered event indication on the receiver can be tested by
pressing one of these buttons.
The function buttons also serve to teach the »soundmonitor« the sounds it will react to.
Setup
Choosing the best position
The »soundmonitor« scans and analyses the noises in its vicinity for the patterns of
the sounds it has been taught. In order to assist this function, the »soundmonitor«
should be placed as close as possible to the sound source it is supposed to identify
(for example placed on a wall underneath the door bell).
Power supply
When using for the first time: Open the battery compartment and remove the battery
stopper. Connect the 7,5 V power supply with the according socket on the underside
of the »soundmonitor«. Plug the power supply unit into a regular 230V mains electricity
outlet.
Blackout-Backup
Please note that this device has been designed to be primarily powered over the power
supply unit. The rechargeable batteries serve only as an emergency backup during
power cuts. The standby provided by the batteries covers approx. 16 hours.
The batteries are charged when the »soundmonitor« is connected to the mains power
supply. The batteries have a charging time of approx. 12 hours.
Teaching the desired sounds
To teach a new sound, press and hold one of the function buttons, located on the
upper face of the device, for 2 to 3 seconds until the adjacent LED of the button starts
to blink.
Trigger the desired sound on the sound source. The sound should have a length of at
least 1,5 seconds.
During the recording, the microphone status indicator must be lit constantly!
