The receivers indicate the event signal with light-, vibration- or an acoustic alert (this
depends upon the type of receiver).
Please note that the sound recognition only works with exactly repeatable sounds.
Inserting / replacing the rechargeable batteries (included and already inserted
on delivery)
Remove the battery compartment lid: Push the front plastic cover upwards. A certain
resistance, caused by the latching, has to be overcome (Figure 3).
(Fig. 3)
(Fig. 4)
(Fig. 5)
The plastic cover can now be taken off, the battery compartment has become acces-
sible. Observe the correct polarity when inserting / replacing the batteries (Figure 4).
Re-attach the plastic cover: Lay the cover onto the housing with approx 1 cm distance
to the lower edge (Figure 5). Push the cover downwards until it clicks back into
place. The front cover is now attached again.
Indicators and controls
3 indicator LEDs are located under the dark transparent front cover:
Microphone status indicator
This LED lights up whenever a random sound triggers the activation of the microphone
analyser.
Battery status indicator
A red battery status LED indicates that the rechargeable batteries are almost deple-
ted and must be recharged. During recharging, this LED will show an orange light. A
permanent green light shows that the batteries are charged and the »soundmonitor«
is active.
