1. INTRODUCTION
1.1. SCOPE OF APPLICATION
The White LED Receiver io is a receiver equipped with the io-homecontrol® radio technology. It
allows up to 4 white LED light sources to be controlled independently at constant voltage using a
constant voltage power supply unit (12 or 24 V) via a Somfy io-homecontrol® control unit (for more
details, contact your retailer).
The White LED Receiver io enables the lighting intensity of the LED lights to be varied and the preferred
light intensity to be programmed, i.e. the favourite position: for example, the favourite position can
be set to night-light type lighting. The factory default setting for the favourite light intensity is 50%
of maximum intensity.
Its small size enables it to be discretely installed near to the product it is controlling by connecting it
directly to the power supply unit.
With a protection rating of IP 55, the White LED Receiver io is suitable for outside use, ideally to
control terrace lighting.
1.2. LIABILITY
Before installing and using the White LED Receiver io, read these instructions carefully.
The white LED receiver io must be installed by a motorisation and home automation
professional in accordance with the Somfy instructions and the regulations applicable in the
country in which it is commissioned.
Any operation of the white LED receiver io outside the scope of application described above is
prohibited. Such use, and any failure to comply with the instructions given in this guide, absolves
Somfy of any liability and invalidates the warranty.
The installer must inform his customers of the operating and maintenance conditions for the white
LED receiver io and give them the operating and maintenance instructions after installing the
white LED receiver io. Any after-sales service operation on the white LED receiver io requires the
intervention of a motorisation and home automation professional.
Never begin installing without first checking the compatibility of this product with the associated
equipment and accessories.

2. INSTALLATION
2.1. ASSEMBLY - WIRING
Warning
Comply with current standards and legislation in the country of installation.
Precaution
• Check that the power of the LED lights connected to the white LED receiver io does not
exceed 3.75 A per output and 10 A in total.
• To guarantee electrical safety, this class III product must be powered by a 12 V or 24 V SELV
(Safety Extra Low Voltage) voltage supply.
Attention
• Secure cables to prevent any contact with moving parts.
• Leave the receiver power supply cable accessible: it must be possible to replace it easily.
• To ensure good radio reception, ensure that the outside aerial is not in contact with any
metallic item.
