Integrated Descaling programme
the integrated descaling programme removes limescale in the interior of the ap-
pliance. It takes a total of approximately 30 minutes. the symbol for descaling
flashes during the entire process.
Prerequisite: The appliance must be switched off. Remove the Melitta
Claris
water filter - if present - from the water reservoir before descal-
®
ing.
Caution!

execute the integrated descaling programme every 3 months or when
the symbol for descaling

Only use the Melitta
decalcifying agent is precisely matched to the Melitta
–
Never use vinegar or other descaling agents.
Run the Integrated Descaling programme as follows:
Phase 1
During Phase 1, one bean symbol
1 simultaneously press the button for steam dispensing

2 empty the drip tray and then re-insert it without coffee grounds contain-
er, and place the coffee grounds container under the steam pipe.

the symbol for the water reservoir
3 Pull the water reservoir up and out of the appliance and empty it com-
pletely.
