Operating modes
The product has various operating modes that can
be changed even during operation.
The availability of the individual operating
modes depends on the configuration of the
product.
"Standalone Autostart"
The product is operated as a stand-alone solution
without connection to a backend system. Charging
starts automatically as soon as the vehicle is
plugged in.
"Standalone with authorisation"
The product is operated as a stand-alone solution
without connection to a master backend system.
The authorisation occurs through RFID cards and a
local whitelist.
"Standalone Backend System"
The product can be connected to a backend sys-
tem via wireless communication or ethernet. The
product is operated via the backend system.
Authorisation is dependent on the backend system,
for example an RFID card, smartphone app or ad
hoc (e.g. direct payment).
"Networked"
Several devices are connected via ethernet. This
enables use of local load management and a con-
nection to the Backend-System can be established
for all networked products.
A detailed description of networking, the
connection to a backend system and load
management, including application ex-
amples, can be found on our website in the
download section for the selected product.

Solar charging modes
Requirement(s):
ü The product is connected to an energy man-
agement system via SEMP. The energy man-
agement system is connected to a photovoltaic
system.
ü The SEMP interface is activated in the web in-
terface.
1 "6.10.5 Activating the interface (SEMP) for en-
ergy management systems" [} 34]
ü The energy management system and the
product are located in the same network.
The product offers 3 charging modes (Surplus char-
ging, Immediate charging, Manual configuration):
Surplus charging
The charging power is dependent on the excess
energy from the photovoltaic system. Electric
vehicle charging starts as soon as there is a suffi-
cient amount of excess energy generated by the
photovoltaic system. Solar energy exclusively is
used for charging.
Immediate charging
Charging occurs at maximum power. Mains power
is used for charging unless there is a sufficient
amount of excess energy generated by the photo-
voltaic system.
