2.3 Safety instructions
for operating the device
WARNING!
Danger of electric
shock!
If the energised device
comes into contact with
water, there is a risk of
serious injury or death!
You should therefore
observe the following safety
instructions:
Do not immerse the device
in water or spray or clean it
with water. The device
must be protec ted against
moisture. However, if the
device does fall into water,
immediately unplug the
mains plug. Never reach
into the water if the device
is still connected!
NEVER catch the extension
cable with the steel tine (J).
Observe the following
safety precautions to
prevent injuries and
material damage due to
misuse and unsafe handling
of the product. Misuse can
result in INJURIES.
CAUTION! RISK OF
INJURY DURING
OPERATION!
Use the device as intended!
Work only within the speci-
fied perform ance range.
Before each use, make sure
that the device is in perfect
condition; operation is pro-
hibited if:
- the safety devices (on-/
off-switch, protective cov-
ers) and/or steel tines (J)
are damaged or worn.
- the device shows visible
signs of damage.
- the device may have
been dropped before.
- foreign objects have
wrapped around the
steel tines.
Never disable any safety
devices.
Check area to be edit
beforehand to avoid dam-
age to device / objects or
injuries to living beings.
Stones, pieces of wood,
wires or the like, as well as
other foreign objects must
be removed. Objects that
are caught by the steel tines
can be flung out uncontrol-
lably. Keep bystanders away
from the danger zone. In
order to prevent injuries,
pay attention to safety in
the work area.
Never use the device on
house walls or similar,
always work vertic ally so
that the steel tines reach
into the ground
