The secondary current flows for as long as the weld-
ing torch button [30] is pressed.
If the Slope function has been activated, this weld-
ing torch button allows the current reduction to be
terminated prematurely.
Connect the TIG torch
▸
Connect the TIG torch to the negative (–)
socket [3] and secure it by turning the connector
in clockwise direction.
▸
Insert the welding torch control plug into the
socket [23].
Danger for connected electrical parts
or the operator!
Only the control plug of the TIG
¾
welding torch may be inserted into
the socket [23] of the machine.
Never plug in any other form of
¾
controller, such as the relay contact
of an automation control system or a
push-button unit as the socket has the
full trigger voltage at all times, even
when the control plug is not inserted.
Connecting the workpiece lead
▸
Connect the workpiece lead to the positive (+)
socket [4].
▸
Secure the connecting plug by turning in clock-
wise direction.
▸
Fasten the ground clamp with good electrically
conductive contact to a bare metal part of the
welding bench or workpiece.
Connecting the shielding gas cylinder
▸
Place the shielding gas cylinder [37] in a suitable
place and secure it to prevent it from falling over.
▸
Use a wall bracket or cylinder trolley for secure
positioning of the cylinder.
▸
Open the valve of the gas cylinder [38] several
times in rapid succession so that dirt particles, if
any, are blown out.
▸
Connect the pressure reducer [34] to the
shielding gas cylinder [37].
▸
Screw the shielding gas hoses [36] of the TIG
welding torch to the pressure reducer.
▸
Open the gas cylinder valve [38] of the gas
cylinder.

The machine has four jobs that can be individually
programmed. Two jobs are available in both of the
operating modes Electrode and TIG. All the adjust-
able main and ancillary parameters are stored in a
job.
In the factory all jobs are pre-programmed with
standard values.
Save job
▸
Set up the machine as desired.
▸
Press button 1 [22] or 2 [20] for at least 3
seconds.
For confirmation the corresponding LED [19] or
3
LED [21] flashes twice.
Select job
▸
Quickly press button 1 [22] or 2 [20].
As confirmation of the selected job, the cor-

responding LED [19] or LED [21] remains
constantly lit.
Exit job
▸
Turn the rotary controller [13] or briefly press
button [18].
Call ancillary parameters
▸
Simultaneously press buttons 1 [22] and 2 [20].
The parameter code and the corresponding set
3

▸
The setting can be adjusted by turning the rotary
controller [11].
▸
By pressing button 1 [22] and 2 [20] the
preceding or next ancillary parameter is dis-
played.
Dependent on the selected operating mode and
