This chapter lists further important information
for safe handling and other conditions for ope-
ration.
Safety instructions for batteries

Only use the specified alkaline battery type AAA
LR03 or the rechargeable battery type NiMH AAA
(HR03)! There is a risk of explosion if the wrong
type of battery is used.

Batteries or rechargeable batteries must not be ex-
posed to high or low extreme temperatures and low
air pressure during use, storage or transport at high
altitudes.

Disposing of batteries or rechargeable batteries in
fires, ovens or by mechanical crushing and cutting
may cause fires or explosions. Exposing batteries to
extremely high temperatures may cause an explosi-
on or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.

Batteries or rechargeable batteries exposed to ext-
remely low air pressure may explode or emit flam-
mable liquid or gas.

Remove the batteries or rechargeable batteries
from the unit if it will be out of use for a longer peri-
od of time (> 3 months).

If the batteries or rechargeable batteries do not
have a sufficient level of charge, event alerts from
the system may be missed!
