Close the fasteners in the following order, always from the centre of the knee downwards, then from
the centre of the knee upwards:
1. Front fastener close to the knee on the lower leg
2. Front fastener close to the knee on the thigh
3. Rear fastener close to the knee on the lower leg
4. Fastener away from the knee on the lower leg
5. Fastener close to the knee on the thigh
6. Fastener away from the knee on the thigh
Whilst tightening the fastener, smoothen it in the tension direction with your free hand. This avoids twisting
the brace on the leg.
Important: Let the patient try walking. Check for possible pressure sores, if required the brace frame can
be reshaped. Be careful not to damage the brace frame

Setting the extension/flexion limit:
If required, it can be necessary to restrict the scope of the brace's movement.
1. Remove the outer joint cover. For this, place both thumb tips on the upper edge of the joint cover and
push the joint cover away downwards whilst applying slight pressure.
2. The joints are marked with "A" and "B". Remove the existing limit stop from the joint and take the
required limit stop from the limit stop sets provided.
They are also marked with the letters "A" and "B", the angular degrees noted on the limit stop wedges.
Extension wedges are marked with an "E", flexion wedges with an "F".
3. Insert the limit stop into the joint.
4. Finally, re-attach the joint cover, place the cover on the joint for this purpose. Press the cover on evenly
so that the release flap protrudes slightly upwards and slide the cover upwards until it engages.
Available spare part: REF 991120 Quick-release fastener
Important note
Please always insert an extension and flexion limit stop into the joints. For unrestricted or free movement,
insert the 0° extension and 140° flexion limit stop into the joints.
Use of the brace without inserted limit stops results in damages to the joint and dysfunction of the brace.
Ensure the use of identical extension and flexion stops in joint A and B in order to avoid an uneven load of
the joint structure.
The following restrictions are available:
– Extension: 0°, 5°, 10°, 15°, 20° and 25°
– Flexion: 0° (180°), 30°, 45°, 60°, 75° and 90°
