which provide electrical protection.
NOTE
The heat pump has no pump. In order to be able to heat the water, the filter pump
must be in operation. It is the filter pump that directs the water through the heat
pump and the Heat Splasher cannot start if the water is not circulating.
3.6 Initial procedure
When everything is connected and has been checked, go through the following points:
• Turn on the filter pump. Check for leaks and make sure that the water is flowing to and
from the pool.
• Connect the power to the heat pump. The unit will start when the time delay has ex-
pired.
• After a few minutes, check if the air that is being blown out of the unit is cooler.
• Check that the heat pump stops automatically when the filter pump is switched off.
3.7 Time delay
In order to protect the electrical circuit, the heat pump has a built in 3-minute start-up
delay. This is also in order to avoid excessive wear and tear of switches. The unit starts
automatically when the time delay has expired. Even a short power outage will trigger the
start-up delay and prevent the device restarting immediately. Further power cuts within the
same 3-minute period will not further extend the start-up delay.
NOTE
The heat pump must be earthed. We recommend the purchase of a Schuko plug.
