15. Handling
Observe the safety information and all other information in these operating instructions!
• Place the film device on a level, firm, and sufficiently large area. Do not put the device onto any available
furniture surfaces, since there may otherwise be pressure points or scratches. Use a suitable support if
required.
• The following unfavourable conditions are to be avoided at the place of installation and during trans-
port:
- Direct solar irradiation
- Dampness or high humidity
- Extreme cold or heat
- Dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- strong vibration
- strong magnetic fields as present near machines or speakers
• Never use the device immediately after it has been taken from a cold into a warm environment. The
resulting condensation may destroy the device. Allow the device to reach room temperature before
switching it on. This may take several hours.
• Ensure that the entire product insulation is not damaged or destroyed. Do not disassemble the device.
• Check the product for damage before each use!
If you find any damage or if it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the device must
be turned off and precautions are to be taken to ensure that it is not used unintentionally. Switch off the
product, remove inserted batteries or disconnect it from an external mains unit. Take it to a specialised
workshop or dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if
- the device shows visible damage
- the device no longer functions and if
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions over an extended period of time or
- following considerable stress during transportation.
• If the device is not taken into operation for an extended period, remove the inserted batteries. Batteries
that are too old may leak and damage the device.
• Never push pointy objects into the ventilation stops or openings; this will destroy the device.
• When setting up the device, make sure that the connection cables are neither bent nor pinched.
• Place all cables where no one can trip over them.
