Childproof lock
The hob can be protected against being accidentally turned on,
to ensure that children do not switch on the hotplates.
Activating and deactivating the childproof
lock.
The range must be turned off.
To turn on: press and hold the @ symbol for approx.
4 seconds. The @ indicator lights up for 10 seconds. The
range is locked.
To turn off: press and hold the @ symbol for approx.
4 seconds. The lock is now deactivated.
Powerboost function
The Powerboost function can be used to heat large amounts of
water more quickly than the power level Š.
All the hotplates have this function.
To activate
The hob must be switched on, but no hotplate should be
working.
Select the required hotplate.

Select the power level Š.

Then press the + symbol.

The › symbol lights up in the display. The powerboost
function has been activated.
Time programming function
This function may be used in two different ways:
to automatically switch off a hotplate.

as a timer.
■
Switching a hotplate off automatically
Enter the cooking time for the desired hotplate. The hotplate will
switch off automatically once this time has elapsed.
How to program
Select the required power level.

Press the S symbol. The x indicator lights up on the

selected hotplate. ‹‹ appears in the time program function
display. To select another hotplate, press the S symbol
several times, until the x indicator of the required hotplate
lights up.

Activating and deactivating the childproof
lock
With this function, the childproof lock automatically activates
when a hob is switched off.

Note: If any hotplate is switched on when the Powerboost
function is working, › and Š will flash on the hotplate display;
the power level Š will then be set. The Powerboost function will
be deactivated.
To turn off
Select the hotplate and press the - symbol. The › indicator will
no longer be displayed and the hotplate will return to the power
level Š. The Powerboost function has been deactivated.
Note: In certain circumstances, the Powerboost function may
turn off automatically in order to protect the electronic
components inside the hob.

After a few seconds, the cooking time will start to count down.
Once the time has elapsed
The hotplate switches off. The beep sounds, and in the time
program function display ‹‹ appears for 10 seconds. The x
indicator lights up on the hotplate display. Pressing the
S symbol turns off the indicators and stops the beep.
Press the + or - symbol on the time program function.
The basic setting appears:
+ symbol: 30 minutes.
- symbol: 10 minutes.
Press the + or - symbol until the required cooking time
appears.
