23. OPERATION OF THE CHARGING STATION

Before the power is connected to the charging station, the back office
provider must be contacted to allow the software to be activated. The
unique charging station number is required for this.*
*Only applies to charging systems with registration.
As soon as registration has been completed, the charging station can be used with any type
of electronic transport charging card (EV charging card/charging key) or another suitable fuel
card (other options available).
23.1 Operation
Take the plug from the holder on the charging station and connect the plug to your vehicle.
The start/stop procedure is started by holding your charging pass in front of the scan point.
First, the plug is locked in the vehicle.
The charging station then communicates with the vehicle and with the back office system.
Once all safety and payment conditions have been checked the maximum allowed charging
current is released (depending on the vehicle, it may take up to 2 minutes before the vehicle
starts charging). After some time the charging station may activate its cooling systems to
release built up heat via the venting channel.
To stop the charging process press the button and hold your pass in front of the scan point.
The charging process will be stopped. You can now remove the plug and place it in the
holder.

23.2 Emergency stop

In the event of an emergency you can press the emergency button.
This will immediately stop the software and hardware charging process.
