3.C-SAFE FUNCTIONALITY
As soon as an accident is recorded, your position will be sent to your emergency contacts by
SMS; if necessary, they can now inform the rescue forces.
Important! The crash sensor does not inform emergency centres or the like.
If an accident is detected, the following will happen:
• The crash sensor LED will be permanently illuminated in red for 30 seconds and the emergency
countdown defined by you will start on the display of your smartphone.
• Now, there are two possibilities:
1. The countdown ends: in this case, your location will be sent by SMS to your emergency contacts.
After 30 seconds, the LED will flash in green and be ready for use again.
2. If you do not need help or the countdown was started by mistake, you can cancel the
countdown by means of the slider. The LED starts flashing in green again and will be active again
from that time on.
The crash sensor reacts to fast changes in velocity, for example if you brake very hard. This may
result in two scenarios:
Scenario 1: After having braked very hard, you stop. The crash sensor considers this as potential
accident and the countdown is started.
Scenario 2: You keep on going within approx. 5 seconds. This is detected by the sensor and no
countdown is started.
LED functions/colours
red flashing = not connected / red permanent = accident / green flashing = connected
Information! The countdown is supported with a siren sound. If the smartphone is set to silent
or vibration, you cannot hear the siren.
Information! The SMS does not involve any charges for you. CRATONI pays the charges. The SMS
can only be dispatched when the coupled smartphone has network reception.
Information! Please note that you must define your name unambiguously in the settings. The
emergency SMS uses your profile name to establish the contact.
Information! You can set the countdown in the APP settings.
Important! iOS can't show countdown when screen is locked, for Android you have to give
permission first!
