Symptom:
Water is coming out from
under the appliance.
The coffee is too strong.
The coffee is too weak.
The coffee is not hot enough
Symptom:
After filling until the max. level,
the heating does not come on.
The refill indicator light is on,
but the water boiler does not
heat up.
The water boiler does not heat
up, both indicator lights are
flickering.
Water is splashing out from
under the lid. Steam forming.
The water boiler does not heat
up, both indicator lights keep
flickering. Switching the water
boiler off and back on, does
not help.
Animo
Possible cause:
The overflow is operating. The
water reservoir had already been
filled or has been overfilled.
Too much coffee has been
placed in the filter.
Not enough coffee has been
placed in the filter.
The water distributor is soiled,
so that the coffee is not being
completely drenched.
There is no lid on the jug.

Possible cause:
The dry-boil protection has
been switched off.
The water level is too low.
There is scale on the minimum
electrode.
The dry-boil protection has been
switched off because the water
boiler contains a lot of scale.
The water temperature is set
too high.
Due to scale on the inner wall
of the water boiler, the temper-
ature sensor measures the
wrong temperature.
Switch off the appliance.
Action:
Make coffee, so that the
reservoir empties.
Reduce the amount of coffee.
Increase the amount of coffee.
Unscrew the water distributor
and clean it.
Use the lid.
Action:
Switch the dry-boil protection
back on.
Fill up the water boiler until
the max. level.
Descale the water boiler.
Switch off the water boiler.
Switch on the dry-boil protection
and descale the water boiler.
Decrease the temperature of
the water boiler. See Chapter
4.7 Setting water temperature

Check if the water boiler needs
to be descaled. Descale the
water boiler when necessary.
