Once the coffee brewing process has been completed the green indicatior light (5.2) will
go out and an audible signal will sound three times, indicating that the coffee is ready.
The jug can be removed before the filter has been completely emptied. Once the filter has
been cleaned you can immediately resume making coffee.

Pour out the coffee or place the jug on the top hot plate (8) (except for the MT models).
The top hot plate is switched on separately using on/off switch (2).
Always switch off the extra hot plate when it is not being used.

After cleaning the basket filter, the appliance can immediately be used to make the next
serving of coffee.

Termination of the brewing process?
The process can be stopped at any moment.
•
Switch the on/off switch (1) to 'off', and the process will stop. The process will continue
when the on/off switch is switched back to 'on'.

Remove the jug from under the filter. The jug detector (10) will temporarily interrupt the
coffee making process and the leak stop will prevent the filter (3) from dripping.
The green indicator light (5.2) will flicker, and a short audible signal will sound. When the
jug is replaced under the filter the coffee brewing process resumes and will be completed.

Water boiler
The appliance is fitted with a water boiler suitable for drawing off small amounts of hot water.
The water in the water boiler is kept hot automatically.

Switch the water boiler on using the on/off switch (13). The light in the switch will light up.

After approx. 11 minutes the water is heated up and the green temperature ok indicator
light (12.2) will light up. Hot water can now be drawn off using the no-drip tap (11).

When the yellow refill indicator light (12.1) lights up, the water boiler needs to be refilled.
Fill the water boiler (9) with fresh water. Caution: Never fill up the water boiler higher than
the ring indicating "MAX" to prevent boiling water from splashing over the pouring
spout.

After refilling, the yellow indicator light will go out. Caution: when the refill indicator light
is on, the heater of the water boiler will turn off. As soon as the water boiler is refilled the
heater will switch on again.

The water boiler in use?
•
Tap hot water off (a maximum of 1.8 litres at a time). After filling with cold water, up to
the ring indicating MAX., it will take approx. 5 minutes before the temperature of the
water boiler is restored.
•
When the green temperature indicator light (12.2) turns on, new hot water can be
drawn off.
