Installation instructions
– The unit must only be mounted vertically on a stable, e.g. brickwork
wall.
The air outlet is located at the top end of the unit.
– The unit must be installed so that no radiation can escape to the
outside.
– The installation location must provide good access for
maintenance.
– The unit is protected according to IP20 and must not be operated
in damp locations or in systems with a relative humidity of more
than 60%.
– A socket with earthing contact must be provided by the customer
near to the unit.
– The installation location must be selected so that de-germed air
can equally flow through the room.
– Avoid positioning in the immediate vicinity of seating areas or
workplaces as well as beds (hospital wards) due to the annoying
flow of air.
– The circulation of air should not be interrupted by barriers such as
room partitions, large plants, etc.
– With longer periods of absence or during operating interferences,
pull out the mains plug to de-energise the unit. Even when the
mains switch is located in the Off position, the unit is not fully
separated from the mains supply. If the unit is not used temporarily
(e.g. over night), we recommend switching off using the mains
switch.
– The following minimum clearances must be observed for the
selection of the installation location:

Cleaning the unit
– The interior of the unit must not be cleaned as this would result in
damage of the components.
– If required, the outside of the unit can be wiped with a moist cloth
(if necessary with a mild detergent). Wipe dry afterwards!
– The unit is not water-tight. It must not be cleaned with either low-
pressure or high-pressure cleaners.
Cleaning the lamps
The lamps only have to be cleaned when dirt has been applied when
inserting or they have been mistakenly touched by bare hands!
Regular cleaning is not necessary.
The lamps are highly sensitive against finger sweat and alkaline
cleaning agents!
– Wear clean and soft gloves (cotton or non-powdered Latex) to
prevent applying new dirt. Only use soft and clean cotton cloths.
– Clean with clear water (a little washing-up liquid when necessary).
– Run dry afterwards.

Export
We emphasise that these devices are intended for the European
market and must not be exported to nor operated in the USA or
Canada! The manufacturer does not accept any liability in the event of
non-observance! We explicitly emphasise that high liability risks may
occur to the exporter and/or the operator in the event of non-
observance.
