Maintenance
Minor maintenance
•
We recommend leaving a 2-3 cm layer of ash to protect the base plate. You can remove any excess ash. Make sure the ash
has cooled down before throwing it in the bin. We recommend using an ash bucket.
•
Clean the exterior of the stove with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning and scouring agents.
•
Clean the glass with a special cleaning product for ceramic hobs. Do not touch the clean glass with your fingers.
Fingerprints burn into the glass.
•
Occasionally oil the hinges and door lock.
•
Do not use aggressive cleaning and scouring agents to clean your stove.
Decommissioning
•
Close all doors and air inlets during the summer season.
•
If the stove is in a damp room, place moisture-absorbing salt inside the combustion chamber.
Annual maintenance
•
Have your chimney thoroughly swept by a qualified chimney sweep for fire safety and, if applicable, your fire insurance.
•
Make sure to have your flue and the air inlets of the flue system checked for leaks every year.
•
Have the sliders and/or valves checked to see if they are functioning properly every year.
•
Have all seals on doors and glass windows checked annually for wear.
