This is a list of all possible symbols and statements on the DMM.

Automatic range selection is active
HOLD
Data hold function is activated
OL
Overload, the measuring range was exceeded
OFF
Off position. The DMM is switched off.

9. Inserting/charging the batteries
The multimeter requires two AAA batteries for operation. You need to insert new, charged batteries prior to initial
operation or when the battery change symbol appears on the display.
The signal transmitter requires a )V compound battery just like the receiver. You need to change the battery when the
display "L2" is lit or if there is no audible sound on the receiver.
To insert/replace the batteries in the DMM, proceed as follows:

• Disconnect the measuring device from all measuring circuits and turn it off.
• Remove the protective rubber frame (12) from the device.
• Undo the screws on the battery compartment cover (11) and remove the cover.
• Place new batteries into the battery compartment observing the correct polarity.
• Now close the housing carefully again.
