The schematic diagram below gives a summary of
the various components of your Gazelle Innergy.
2.1 Components
The Innergy system has six main components:
A) The battery - integrated in the luggage carrier
B) The motor - fitted in the hub of the front wheel
C) The display - can be attached either to the left, right
or middle of your handlebars
D) The pedal-force sensor - mounted to the bicycle's rear
derailleur hanger. This sensor is hidden behind the chain
guard or the chain shield, depending on the model.
E) The rotation sensor - this is behind the forward chain
wheel and the plastic pedal axle adaptor.
F) The cycling controls - these are integrated in your bicycle's
motor. The pressure exerted on the pedals is converted by
the pedal-force sensor (D) to a signal to the cycling controls
(F). Also, the rotations you make are converted by the
rotation sensor (E) to a signal to the cycling controls. If you
have switched on assistance via the display (C), the cycling
controls also receive this
signal. Both signals are converted
by the cycling controls into a high
or low speed of the motor (B).
The energy to make all this happen
comes from the battery (A).
