3.3. PREPARING THE APPLIANCE FOR USE

1. Clean the appliance before first use. Follow the instructions in chapter 5.Maintenance
and cleaning.
2. Place the appliance at a location that satisfies the following conditions:
• A flat, stable, heat-resistant and moisture-resistant surface.
• At least 15 cm of free space around the appliance.
• Well ventilated.
• Not in direct sunlight.
• Not directly next to heat sources, such as heaters or stoves.
• An earthed socket within 80 cm.

3. Place the handle in the pan. Press the handle until you hear a click.
4. Place the grill plate in the pan.
5. Insert the pan into the appliance. Make sure that the pan is fully inserted into the
appliance.
