Problem and solution
PROBLEM
The fryer is no longer heating up.
The oil is smoking or boiling over.
The oil is bubbling 昀椀ercely.
SOLUTION
▪
There is a safety feature in the recess
for the cord storage. If the oil in
the appliance becomes too hot, this
safety will be activated. This means
that the device will turn itself o昀昀.
Allow the appliance to cool and then
press this button again to reset the
appliance. It will then be possible to
use the fryer again.
▪
The safety switch on the sliding
brackets has not been pressed in. The
control panel with heating element
has not been correctly mounted onto
the sliding brackets, or the basket is
not correctly seated. Check the fryer
is correctly mounted.
▪
The oil has gone o昀昀 or expired.
Change the oil. Check the oil
packaging for its maximum usage
life, or reuse it a maximum of 10
times.
▪
The thermostat is set too high. Select
a lower temperature.
▪
There are too many ice crystals or too
much water in the oil. Remove any
excess ice from frozen food before
dropping in the oil. Thoroughly pat
dry freshly cut potato fries after
rinsing.
