must never be used without the fabric cover.
• Check that the safety harness strap is not twist-
ed to avoid that the strap or any parts of the
child car seat remain trapped between the car
doors, or rub against cutting edges. If the safety
harness is cut or frayed, it must be replaced.
• Do not transport loose or unsecured objects
or baggage on the back shelf of the vehicle:
they may injure the passengers in case of ac-
cident or sudden braking.
• Ensure that all car passengers fasten their
seat belts, for their own safety and also be-
cause, during the journey, they may injure
the child in the event of an accident or the
sudden braking of the car.
• On long journeys make frequent stops. Children
get tired easily. Do not remove the child from the
child car seat while travelling. If your child needs
attention, find a safe place and stop.
• In the first few months after birth, children
may have difficulty breathing in a seated po-
sition. Avoid leaving children to sleep in the
seat until they can lift their heads themselves.
• Premature babies born before the 37th week
of pregnancy may be at risk if placed in a
child car seat. These newborn babies may
have breathing difficulties when seated in
the child car seat. We recommend consult-
ing your doctor, or the hospital's staff, for
their medical opinion on whether your child
can be transported in the child car seat when
leaving the hospital.
