6. Ensure that the fl oat switch (11) is not obstruc-
ted in any way. Clean the fl oat (11), fl oat cover
(3) and fi lter (9) at regular intervals.
7. After use, remove the mains plug from the
mains.
8. Lift the pump back out of the water.
Manual operation (Fig. A)
1. Slide the operating mode switch (2) to "MANU-
AL".
2. Lower the pump into water. It would be advisa-
ble to stand the pump on a solid platform at the
bottom to keep it upright, if practical to do so.
Ensure there are no obstructions around the in-
let openings around the base of the pump. The
inlet openings must be clear of mud or sludge
at the bottom of a pool.
3. Connect the mains plug.
4. On manual mode, the pump will always run.
Never run this pump dry - out of the water.
5. After use, remove the mains plug from the
mains.
6. Lift the pump back out of the water.
Finish operation
After use allow the pump to run using clean water
for 2 - 3 minutes in order to remove residues and
particles that may have accumulated in the pump
and outlet hose.
5. MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning and maintenance, always
switch off the machine and remove the
mains plug from the mains.
During maintenance or cleaning never rest
the appliance of the on the turbine
(impeller).
Clean the machine casings regularly with a soft
cloth, preferably after each use. Remove very
persistent dirt using a soft cloth moistened with
soapsuds. Do not use any solvents such as gasoli-
ne, alcohol, ammonia, etc. Chemicals such as these
will damage the synthetic components.
If the appliance appears to be blocked, switch off
the power at the mains, remove the plug from the
socket and check the appliance for blockages (see
'Blockages').

Clean the fi lter (A,C)
Clean the fi lter (9) at regular intervals, and check
it for damage. Otherwise, its function can be
impaired.
• Carefully remove the bracket (10) and remove
fi lter (9) as shown in Fig. C.
• Use a mild soap and water solution to clean the
fi lter and afterwards rinse with clean water.
• Re-install the fi lter (9) and the bracket (10).
Clean the fl oat and fl oat cover (A,D)
Clean the fl oat (11) and fl oat cover (3) at regular
intervals, and check it for damage. Otherwise, its
function can be impaired.
1. Remove the fl oat cover (3) by unscrewing the
two screws (12).
2. Use a mild soap and water solution to clean the
fl oat (11) and fl oat cover (3) and afterwards
rinse with clean water.
3. Mount the fl oat cover (3) by tightening the two
screws (12).
Blockages
If you suspect the pump has become blocked,
switch off the power at the mains socket remove
the plug and examine the turbine. The turbine can
be accessed by removing the securing screws in
the base and/or sub base. Alternately try reaching
the suspected blockage through the outlet (7) in
the side of the pump.
Always fl ush through with clean water after
every use.
STORAGE AND FROST POTECTION
The submersible pump and accessories that are
not completely drained can be destroyed by frost.
Completely drain the submersible pump and acces-
sories and protect them against frost.
Keep this appliance in well-ventilated dry premises
with temperature not going below +5°C.
When not in use, keep this appliance stored in a
safe place out of reach of children.
