Operating instructions SATAjet 4000 B RP/HVLP (DIGITAL)
Steps: [9-1], [9-2], [10-1], [10-2], [10-3], [10-4] and [10-5]
Replacing the self-tensioning sealing [10-5] is required when air leaks
from under the trigger.
1. After disassembly, please check air piston rod [10-4] and clean it, if
required. If damaged (e.g. if scratched or bent), replace it and grease
with SATA high performance spray gun grease (Art. No. 48173) and
insert. Please observe correct order of installation!
2. Lubricate air micrometer sleeve as well, insert together with air piston
and tighten the locking screw.
After installation, please adjust material flow according to chapter 7.2.
• Check if locking screw has been firmly tightened! Otherwise air mi-
crometer could shoot out from the spray gun uncontrolled!
9.6. Replace CCS (ColorCode-System)
The CCS for the individual marking of the spray gun can be exchanged
according to [10-6].
9.7. Replace spindle of round/flat spray control
steps: [11-1], [11-2], [11-3]
The spindle has to be replaced when air leaks from the spray control or
when the spray control does not work.
1. Removal of the old spindle [a]
•
Remove screw [11-1] (Torx T20)
•
Remove knob [11-2]
•
Unscrew spindle [11-3] with wrench (size 14)
•
Make sure that spindle pick-up is free of material and paint residues,
remove residues and clean with solvent, if necessary
2. Installation and positioning of the new spindle [a, b]
•
Screw in spindle [11-3]
•
Turn spindle nut [11-3] to position 6 o'clock using a wrench (size 6)
[11-4]
3. Positioning and assembly of control knob [c]
•
Position of knob [11-2] has to be according to illustration (line in the
knob has to be in vertical position)
•
Hand-tighten screw [11-1] (Torx T20) in the knob – hold knob in the
position while tightening
