• Always ensure that both saw blades enter the material at the same time. If only one saw blade
enters the material, there is a risk of severe injuries from a sudden recoil of the saw. If you carry
out angular cuts, you should not apply the saw laterally, as only one saw blade is in contact with
the material. Instead, apply the saw from the top so that both saw blades enter the material
simultaneously.
• The sides of the saw blades are not suitable for sawing. For that reason, when making horizontal
cuts, ensure that the saw is not placed on the bottom saw blade. Clamp the workpiece in order
to prevent sudden recoils.
•
Read and understand all instructions. If all the instructions stated below are not observed, there is a
risk of electric shocks, fires and/or injuries.
•
Familiarise yourself in depth with the electric tool. Read the operating instructions carefully. Obtain
information about the possible areas of use and restrictions as well as about the possible hazards when
using this tool. By observing this basic rule, you reduce the risk of electric shocks, fires and severe
injuries.
•
Always wear eye protection or safety goggles when using this saw. The glasses of traditional glasses
provide only little anti-shock force. These glasses are NOT suitable as protective goggles. By observing
this basic rule, you reduce the risk of severe injuries.
•
Protect your lungs. Wear a face mask or a dust mask in the event of dusty working conditions. By
observing this basic rule, you reduce the risk of severe injuries.
•
Protect your ears. Wear hearing protection in the event of longer work. By observing this basic rule, you
reduce the risk of severe injuries.
•
Inspect the tool cable regularly and contact customer services if it is damaged. ALWAYS check where
the cable is. By observing this basic rule, you reduce the risk of electric shocks and fires.
•
Check the tool for damaged parts. Before using the tool, check all parts for damage in order to ensure
that the tool can be used correctly and in accordance with the intended function. Check the tool for
moving components that are incorrectly adjusted or rib next to one another, damaged parts and other
problems, which may affect the normal operation of the tool. A damaged protective lid and other dama-
ged parts must be correctly repaired and replaced. Contact customer services. By observing this basic
rule, you reduce the risk of electric shocks, fires and severe injuries.
•
CAUTION! If the saw blade bends in the cut groove or does not run straight, the teeth on the rear edge
of the saw blade may enter the surface of the workpiece, which pushes the saw blade out of the cut
groove and may hurl the saw in the direction of the user.
WARNING!
The dust created when using electric tools may contain chemicals that can cause cancer, birth
defects or other deficiencies to the reproductive organs. These chemicals include, amongst others:
• Lead from lead-containing paints
• Crystalline silica in bricks and cement and other solid construction products.
• Arsenic and chrome in chemically treated construction wood. How high the risk of a hazard
from these chemicals is depends on how frequently you come into contact with such products
during your work. To reduce the risk, you should only process such products in a well-ventila-
ted working area and wear corresponding protective equipment, such as breathing protection,
which is specially intended for filtering out microscopic particles.
The tool may have the following symbols. Knowledge of these symbols provides you with better and safer
