6.2.1
Filter
Replace the filter:
- when damaged;
- when the extraction capacity remains insufficient;
- when the indicator keeps blinking, with the cleaning
mechanism running.
You must learn from experience when to replace the filter,
since the life span of the filter strongly depends on the
composition of the welding fumes, the humidity, etc.
• Remove the filter cover (Fig. 6.1 A) by loosening the star
knob and loosening the four clips.
• Remove the filter (Fig. 6.1 B). It is recommended to clean
the filter compartment using an industrial vacuum cleaner.
• Position the new filter and mount the filter cover.

6.2.2
Prefilter box
Replace the steel mesh filter:
- when it is clogged or saturated and cannot be cleaned using
a vacuum cleaner; or
- when it has been damaged.
In case the steel mesh filter has been damaged, it is
recommended to also replace the filter cartridge.
To replace the steel mesh filter, proceed as follows:
• Disconnect the extraction fan from the input power.
• Loosen the two clips and remove the filter cover.
• Remove the steel mesh filter.
• If required by federal, state and/or local regulations and
guidelines, conceal prefilter in appropriate bag, e.g. plastic
bag.
Spare prefilters are supplied in a plastic bag. This
bag can be used to pack and dispose of the used
prefilter.
• Clean the inside of the prefilter box with an industrial
vacuum cleaner.
• Install a new steel mesh filter.
• Replace the filter cover and fasten the two clips.
6.2.3
Dust barrel
Empty the dust barrel (Fig. 6.2):
- when full;
- (preferably) upon replacement of the filter.
