Handling the batteries properly
❐ Before inserting the batteries check that the contacts in the device and on the batteries are
clean and, if necessary, clean them.
❐ Use only the battery type specified in the technical data.
❐ Always replace all batteries at the same time. Do not mix different types or brands of
batteries or batteries with different capacitance. When changing batteries ensure correct
polarity (+ / –).
❐ Remove the batteries from the unit if they are used up or if you are not using the unit for an
extended period. This will prevent damage which can be caused by leakage.
❐ Immediately remove any leaking batteries from the device. Clean the contacts before
inserting new batteries.
❐ The batteries should not be recharged or reactivated by any other means, taken apart,
thrown on a fire, immersed in liquid or short-circuited.
Handling the device properly
❐ Please do not attempt to repair electrical products yourself; instead, please contact the
nearest expert. In the event of damage, contact the customer service department.
❐ Please keep the device away from electromagnetic fields (mobile phones, remote controls,
etc.). They could affect the measuring accuracy.
❐ Only use the device in enclosed areas.
❐ Always place the device on a dry, level and solid base. Soft surfaces, such as shag carpeting,
can result in inaccurate measurements.
❐ Never place the device near heat sources.
❐ Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe changes in temperature, direct
sunlight or moisture.
❐ Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions. Never jump on
the device as this could damage the device.
❐ Never submerge the unit in water or other liquids. When cleaning, no liquid may penetrate
the device.
Warranty conditions
Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts to repair are excluded from the
warranty. This also applies to normal wear and tear.
