12. Handling
• Never connect the mains plug to a mains socket immediately after the device has been taken from a cold
to a warm environment. The resulting condensation may destroy the device. Allow the device to reach
room temperature before connecting it. Wait until the condensation has evaporated.
• Never plug in or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• Never pull the mains plug from the mains socket by the cable. Only pull it from the mains socket by the
intended grip areas.
• Always pull it from the socket using the intended grips.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket during thunderstorms for reasons of safety.
• Do not cover the device to ensure sufficient ventilation. Air circulation also must not be impaired by any
objects like magazines, tablecloths, curtains, etc.
13. Cleaning
Pull the mains plug from the socket before taking off the blending container (3) for cleaning.
Never bring the connection line, the mains plug or the motor unit (8) into contact with water or
other liquids to avoid the risk of electrical shock.
Proceed with care with disassembling or assembling the blending container (3) and cleaning
the parts. Particularly the sharp cutting knife may cause injury at wrong treatment.
a) General Pre-Cleaning of the Blending Container
• Fill approx. 1 l of fresh warm water into the blending container (3) and add a few drops of detergent.
• Put the lid (2) with the closure cap (1) onto the blending container (3).
• Switch on the device and push the pulse function several times for a few seconds so that the food resi-

• Then put the function switch (10) to the position „0" and pull the mains plug from the socket.
• Open the lid (2) and remove the blending container (3) from the device.
• Empty the mixing container (3) and rinse it with fresh water.
