9. Set-Up
Never let the device, the mains line or the mains plug come into contact with hot surfaces (e.g.
of a stove). Do not operate the device near open fire.
The mains line must not hang over table edges or be caught.
Choose a level, stable and slip-proof position for the device where it is protected from splashing
water and cannot be reached by children. The position must be clean and dust-free as well.
Set the device up near a wall socket.
10. Mains Connection
Before plugging in the mains plug, ensure that the device voltage indicated on the device cor-
responds to the available mains voltage. Do not connect the device if the indication does not
correspond to the available mains voltage. Wrong supply voltage will cause severe damage
and dangers for the user.
The mains socket to which the device is connected must be easily accessible so that the device
can be separated from the mains voltage quickly in case of an error.
Switch off the device before connecting it to or disconnecting it from the mains.
Make sure that the mains line is not squeezed or damaged by sharp edges. Always place it so
that no one can trip over it or be caught in it. Danger of injury!
Be careful when handling mains cables and mains connections. Mains voltage may cause po-
tentially fatal electric shock.
Plug the mains plug into a wall socket.
