CAUSE OF PROBLEM

1. Clogged intake filter.
2.
Loose pulleys wom coupling, or motor with excessive end play in shaft.
3.
Receiver needs draining.
4.
Poor ventilation.
5.
Air leaks in piping (on machine or in outside system).
6.
Receiver checks valve leaking.
7.
Extremely light duty or located in a damp humid location.
8.
Check line voltage, motor terminals for good contact, tight starter
connections, correct motor overload and fuses.
9.
Poor power regulation (unbalanced line). Consult with power company.
10. Carbon on top of piston.
11. Leaking, broken, carbonized or loose valves or restricted air passages.
12. Wom or scored connecting rod bearings or piston pin.
13. Defective bearing on crankshaft or on motor shaft. Loose motor fan.
14. Piston rings broken or not seated in, wom or stuck in grooves.
15. Cylinders or piston rings scratched, wom or scored.
16. Wrong direction of rotation.
17. Extremely dusty atmosphere. Need heavy duty air inlet filter.
18. Drive belt too tight.
19. Drive belt slack.
20. Check that motor capacitors are functioning (single phase units only).
21. Check if the pressure in the receiver is higher than the pressure switch cut-
in pressure (motor will restart when receiver pressure drops below cut-in
pressure).
22. Check pressure switch and auxiliary valve operation.
23. Overload trips.
AFTER USE SHUT DOWN THE COMPRESSOR BY PUSHING THE BUTTON
ON THE 01-SWITCH AND THEN PULL THE PLUG FROM THE POWER
SUPPLY.
