Using the device
h) Equalizer
The integrated equalizer allows you to sensitively control the sound of the output signal. 10 different frequency ranges
can be controlled separately for the right and the left channel.
Since the human sense of hearing is more insensitive to lower and higher frequencies than to
middle frequencies, you should not choose extreme settings with the equalizer controls, as this
could easily overload the loudspeakers or the amplifier (always observe the level indicator (11)
when adjusting the equalizer). Overloading will lead to distortion and may easily cause damage
to the loudspeakers and to the amplifier. For the same reason, sound controls (e.g. those on
the amplifier) should remain in centre position.
•
Use the EQUALIZER switch (22) to switch the equalizer on or off. The LED next to the switch lights up when the
equalizer is switched on.
•
Push up the control of the desired frequency range to increase the volume of the frequency range.
•
Pull down the control of the desired frequency range to decrease the volume of the frequency range.
•
The control range is +/-10dB.
i) Sound effects
•
Press a SOUND EFFECTS button (30) a use a sound effect. The sound effect is added to the mixer output signal.
•
The F/X SPEED control (31) influences the playback speed of the sound effects. Turning it clockwise increases
the speed, turning it anti-clockwise decreases it.
•
Use the F/X VOLUME control (32) to set the volume of sound effects. Turning it clockwise increases the volume,
turning it anti-clockwise decreases it.
•
Press the F/X CUE switch to pre-listen to the selected sound effect via the headphones.
