Drinking water system in accordance with the regulations
• Drinking water systems must meet the national regulations, and installations may only be carried out by a trained
plumber.
• Trained plumbers are persons who, on the basis of their vocational education, training, knowledge and experience,
are capable of and authorised to judge and carry out the work with which they have been commissioned. This also
includes the recognition of possible hazards and the adherence to the pertinent regional and national standards,
rules and regulations.
• If you have any questions or problems, please consult a qualified plumber.
• The unit may only be connected if all prescribed measures for protecting the drinking water are adhered to.
• Drinking water may only be discharged into a non-drinking water system via a free flowing outlet (with air gap sepa-
ration).
Safe operation
• Never operate the unit if either the electrical cables or the housing are defective!
• Do not carry or pull the unit by its electrical cable.
• Route cords/hoses/lines in a way that they are protected against damage, and ensure that they do not present a
tripping obstacle.
• Only open the unit housing or its attendant components, when this is explicitly required in the operating instructions.
• Only execute work on the unit that is described in this manual. If problems cannot be overcome, please contact an
authorised customer service point or, when in doubt, the manufacturer.
• Only use original spare parts and accessories for the unit.
• Never carry out technical modifications to the unit.
• The power connection cables cannot be replaced. When the cable is damaged, the unit or the component needs to
be disposed of.
Mechanical installation
Installing the solenoid valve
Note!
• The installation of the solenoid valve described in the following may only be performed by a trained plum-
ber.
• Ensure that excess water (pond overflow water) can drain via a pond overflow or other suitable protective
measure into the sewer system.
How to proceed:
C
• The drinking water supply pipe to be used for replenishment must be thoroughly flushed out to ensure that the func-
tion of the solenoid valve is not impaired by any residue.
• Remove the protective plugs from both ends of the solenoid valve.
• Connect the solenoid valve to the drinking water supply pipe. Ensure that the arrow on the bottom of the valve
points in the flow direction of the drinking water.
OASE recommends: Fit the solenoid valve with the solenoid pointing upward. This increases its operating life and
reduces calcium and dirt deposits.
• Fit the G 1/2" pipe to the outlet (OUT) of the solenoid valve.
• Complete the installation with a free flowing outlet (with air gap separation).
D
OASE recommends: Conduct the water flowing out of the free flowing outlet (3) (with air gap separation) through a
DN 50 pipe (9) or larger, or via a water course into the pond.
Fitting the level control unit
E
All cables are permanently connected to the level control unit and cannot be disconnected.
How to proceed:
• Undo the 4 screws (11) of the transparent cover by turning counterclockwise.
• Remove the transparent cover (the screws remain in the cover).
• Insert the four screws (3.5
• Screw the level control unit to a suitable wall.
• Replace the transparent cover.
• Tighten the 4 screws one after the other by pressing them in and immediately turning them clockwise.
