General tips for training
1. Eliminate one behavioural problem or teach one
command at a time for optimal effect. If you teach your dog
too many commands at once, your dog may get confused.
2. Be consistent. Give your dog a single beep, or a single
vibration or a single strong vibration when the wrong
behaviour occurs. If you use multiple signals at the same
time, the dog may get confused.
3. Do not try to over-correct your dog. Only use a few
corrective single signals per training session when really
necessary.
4. Unless you can supervise your dog, it is recommended that
you keep your dog out of the environment in which he/she
has misbehaved in the past. However, setting up a training
session in this case can significantly increase your chances
of success
5. If your dog exhibits anxious behaviour during training,
redirect his/her response to simple and desirable behaviour
by using the 'Sit!' command.
