INTRODUCTION
With this wireless communication set it is
possible to talk between several sets.
The FR-8 has 8 different channels and
for each channel 38 different CTCSS
(Continues Tone Controlled Squelch)
codes are available.
You can communicate with other hands-
ets which are set on the same channel
and the same CTCSS code.
The Alecto FR-8 complies with the
essential requirements and provisions as
described in the European Directive
1999/5/EC.
The declaration of conformity is available

Usage:
Belgium: a users-license is required.
The Netherlands: no license required.
No guarantee can be given for an inter-
ference-free communication or a free
channel.
INSTALLATION
Power supply:
The FR-8 can be powered by 3 AA penli-
te batteries. Open the battery-compart-
ment by clicking the small clip at the
lower end of the handset. Place the bat-
teries as indicated. Attend to the right
polarity of the batteries.
Alternatively rechargeable cells can be
used. These rechargeable cells must be
charged in an external battery-charger.
If the wireless communication set is not
used for a prolonged period, it is best to
take the batteries out. This will prevent
damage caused by leaky batteries.
Beltclip:
Supplied with the FR-8 is a separate
beltclip. This beltclip can be mounted on
the backside of the FR-8.
Wriststrap:
The wriststrap can be mounted on the
FR-8. On the backside there is a moun-
tinghole where the wriststrap can be
attached.
